Law Enforcement Operations and Planning with Crime Mapping (LEA-4)
This Course provides an overview of Patrol Operations/Police Operations/ Different types of Planning and Crime Mapping. It discusses the different types of patrol / History of patrol and also the purpose of patrol to prevent crime, enforce laws, and maintain peace and order. The Operational Procedures in conducting Police Operations like arrest, search and seizures, serving of warrant of arrest, warrantless arrest and other similar operations are also summarized.
This Course provides also an Overview interms of different types of Police Planning, Strategies and Proper Procedures to ensure the effectiveness of Plans.
This Course provides also an Overview interms of Crime Mapping/ Analysis, it is includes the discussion of Geographic Information Systems like point feature, line feature, polygonal feature, image feature.; ,and the discussion of importance in Crime Mapping, this course focuses in Analysis of Crime and different strategies of crime analysis like tactical crime analysis, strategic crime analysis, administrative crime analysis.
Crime analysis and Mapping play a major role in all phases of the problem solving process. It is important to measure the problem accurately during the scanning, analysis and the assessment phases.
